Neurologic Diseases

Neurological disorders are diseases of the brain, spine and the nerves that connect them. There are more than 600 diseases of the nervous system such as brain tumors, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, stoke, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.1 There is extensive research on the role of genetics and neurological diseases.

At Health Nucleus (HN), we are conducting leading-edge research on identifying risk for Alzheimer’s disease and untangling the impact of lifestyle factors on genetic expression for the disease. Widely published research focused on carriers of the APOE gene on chromosome 192 as a single marker of risk, but HN combines genetic results with brain imaging to create a more comprehensive risk assessment.

We will be sharing our research results and expanding testing capabilities on this page.
