Using Genomics Could Lead to Better Treatments for Chronic UTIs
On-going research continues to uncover the genetic influences present in health conditions and diseases. In March, 2018, HLI and the J. Craig Venter Institute, published research investigating the use of full genomic approach, or whole genome sequencing (WGS), in identifying urinary tract infections (UTIs). Their findings showed using whole genomic sequencing could lead to better treatments for chronic UTIs.
